Making peace with others wouldn't start if you don't make peace with yourself. I have learned that giving way to peace is letting go of your pride.
At home, if your sibling is fighting you because she wants to watch another channel, then let her have the remote control.
In the office, if workmates are bugging you about nonsense stuff and accusing you of things that you clearly did not do, then shut up, say sorry if you have ever hurt them and give in. It's you who know what you did, and most of all your God knows you. It's not important that they know, it's important that He knows. Stay away from them after. And pray for them.
Dealing with temper and pride is like playing with fire. You have to breathe deep and calm down. Let them have what they want. Eventually, they'll get bored. And you'll run away from the situations, unscathed, and you have avoided controversy.
